print("Reducing class size in the early grades -- kindergarten through second grade -- to under 20 students per class raises student achievement, according to an \narticle in \"Great Schools.\" The gains are particularly noticeable for minority students, immigrant students and students with a low \nsocioeconomic status. With smaller class sizes, teachers are able to get to know their students better, and can build stronger relationships, according to a study done by two Princeton University professors. The Princeton study also noted students who were in schools with smaller class sizes scored higher on achievement tests, even when they were no longer in a smaller-class-size model school.\n\n\n")

print(" One of the largest disadvantages to small classroom size is cost. Smaller classroom sizes in a school district means adding additional teachers and building additional classrooms, and few school districts have the resources to fund additional classrooms or teachers. Also, many experts have argued that it is far better to put a fabulous teacher in a large classroom than put an ineffective teacher in a reduced-size classroom just to fit the smaller-class-size formula, according to Kevin Simpson in \"The Denver Post.\" That would be a disservice to the very students the district is trying to help.\n\n\n")

print("One major advantage to teaching a large class in secondary school is that classes are usually high energy, fun and exciting; the classes go by quickly and are rarely boring; and most students are willing to participate. Because core lessons take longer to complete, filler lessons that students dislike rarely happen. In addition, students must learn independence and self-motivation because teachers have less time to work one-on-one with students. Students may also learn to work well in groups because group work becomes a necessity in large classrooms.\n\n\n")

print("It is more difficult for teachers to work with students in classes larger than 25 or 30 students. Large classrooms make discussion and group work more difficult. A study conducted by three professors at the University of London found that in larger classrooms, students were less engaged. What was most surprising to the professors was that students who disengaged were the students struggling most in school. Also, the teacher had more negative behaviors to address with students who were having difficulty in school.\n\n\n")
