Interested.

This is pretty vague, and by "hacking" I presume that you're referring to malicious hacking, as in stealing the data from other people?

If you can find a simple browser security flaw, then you can steal plenty of data and do some pretty bad stuff, Wasm and JS would fit here.

If you are able to execute native binaries on the host computer, C can execute embed arbitrary binary or Asm into its source, and it's already a dangerous language "as is."

If you want to steal data from a server... I honestly have no clue.
Hmm... yeah I've got nothing, but plenty of servers are hit daily.

One can create reproducing viruses, bot net DDOS attacks, ... etc, there's all kinds of things that you can do.

There's also no "one fits all" language, just pick a good language, and get good at it, or get good at multiple, just don't spend a little bit of time with a language, discard it, and move on to the next.

JavaScript. JavaScript is one of the most commonly used language for websites. You can hack a website by pressing control+shift+J and entering the JavaScript code.

A lot of programming languages can be used for hacking, https://www.root-me.org is a good learning platform

JosephSanthosh (1181)

Nice question! You can hack a program, website, or app, by changing the code of the program in the language the program, website, or app is made in. For example, Instagram is made in python and few other languages, so you can hack Instagram through Python.

The most common languages for program, website, or app are Python, JS, C languages and HTML. So these are the languages you would want to learn.

Hope this helped and have a great day :)

HahaYes (1212)

@JosephSanthosh ya can't hack people with html, but whats up with the cycles XD

HahaYes (1212)

@JosephSanthosh I mean they've been kinda sus but whatever

JosephSanthosh (1181)

me? or repl.it? I don't know why my cycles are like this? @HahaYes

HahaYes (1212)

@JosephSanthosh hrmmm usually cycle counts inflate by like 10% max not like another 60%

JosephSanthosh (1181)

Oh, I didn't know that. Guess my account is quite abnormal. @HahaYes

HahaYes (1212)

@JosephSanthosh my estimates, but lemme run your account through mat1's cycle checker

JosephSanthosh (1181)

oh that's cool. where is that? @HahaYes

[deleted]

@JosephSanthosh pretty sure you've been cycle farmed by someone lol: https://repl-talk-cycle-farmers.mat1.repl.co/user/JosephSanthosh.json

Tell him to stop the mods might think that you wanted him to cycle farm

The link don't work! What is the name of the post? @behavingEffort

InvisibleOne (300)

What are you trying to hack?

InvisibleOne (300)

Also what is your skill level? There are a lot of good languages but it depends on what you are 'hacking' C++ is great for writing virus's, python is good for some stuff. SQL can be used for injection, node.js is good as well. Having a good knowledge of html and javascript is useful for web 'hacking'

  1. The tutorials section if for posting tutorials. NOT asking questions, that is for the ask section.

  2. Please dont "crack"

  3. If you really want a good language to hack, you could try some from this link.

Hope this helps ;)

@EpicGamer007
Sigh this again.

To quote Richard Stallman's open letter to the press:

This letter is not meant for publication, although you can publish it if you wish. It is meant specifically for you, the editor, not the public.
I am a hacker. That is to say, I enjoy playing with computers — working with, learning about, and writing clever computer programs. I am not a cracker; I don't make a practice of breaking computer security.
There's nothing shameful about the hacking I do. But when I tell people I am a hacker, people think I'm admitting something naughty — because newspapers such as yours misuse the word “hacker”, giving the impression that it means “security breaker” and nothing else. You are giving hackers a bad name.

The saddest thing is that this problem is perpetuated deliberately. Your reporters know the difference between “hacker” and “security breaker”. They know how to make the distinction, but you don't let them! You insist on using “hacker” pejoratively. When reporters try to use another word, you change it. When reporters try to explain the other meanings, you cut it.

Of course, you have a reason. You say that readers have become used to your insulting usage of “hacker”, so that you cannot change it now. Well, you can't undo past mistakes today; but that is no excuse to repeat them tomorrow.

If I were what you call a “hacker”, at this point I would threaten to crack your computer and crash it. But I am a hacker, not a cracker. I don't do that kind of thing! I have enough computers to play with at home and at work; I don't need yours. Besides, it's not my way to respond to insults with violence. My response is this letter.

You owe hackers an apology; but more than that, you owe us ordinary respect.

EpicGamer007 (540)

@CodeLongAndPros , umm I am not saying hackers are bad, it is just, don't do illegal stuff.

CodeLongAndPros (1354)

@EpicGamer007 But hackers do not "do illegal stuff"

JosephSanthosh (1181)

Yea they do, that's why it's illegal if you do it to another person. @CodeLongAndPros

CodeLongAndPros (1354)

@JosephSanthosh No, they don't. Did you even read my comment above?

EpicGamer007 (540)

@CodeLongAndPros

Listen, by hacking, i mean finding a way into private data etc. and doing stuff you should not with it

Hacking for the sake of learning(as long as sit is not illegal) is ok.

Ethical hacking is also ok.

Also, some hackers do the "illegal stuff". Though I do not think most do

CodeLongAndPros (1354)

@EpicGamer007 That's "cracking", not hacking.

EpicGamer007 (540)

@CodeLongAndPros , oh, so "cracking" is the illegal stuff, right? if so I will change my comment.

EpicGamer007 (540)

@CodeLongAndPros changed.
also, could i invite you to a repl to look over it? Like remember about that tutorial?... You said you would be able to look at it. in case you have time...

CodeLongAndPros (1354)

@EpicGamer007 Sure, I guess. No promises, though, I'm a pretty bad programmer in anything other than Dart or Python.

EpicGamer007 (540)

@CodeLongAndPros , just look over a tutorial, you could learn stuff too.

CodeLongAndPros (1354)

@EpicGamer007 Oh a tutorial, that's fine then.
