Despite my best efforts, my school system- GoGuardian- does not know how to tell educational sites from malicious and or fake game websites like coolmaths. In turn, this leads it to block almost every site I go to. I would like to bypass this restriction and/ or remove goguardian altogether via coding. But the problem is, I'm a less than novice coder that needs help every ten seconds. Which is why i'm asking here. Is there a way?
@JordanDixon1 @PastaManno I am the creator of NovaHaven. You can access its full capabilities at this post: https://repl.it/talk/share/NOVA_HAVEN-Unblocker/20921
Seriously though it won't unblock discord (they have too many protections + its a server). Nova haven can only deal mostly with static sites. If anyone can increase its capabilities, contact me (but I'm kinda done maintaining it)
BTW: IF YOU DON'T READ THE ENTIRE POST YOU WON'T GET IT. It is protected by a bookmarklet and localstorage in case admins without the key check the site.
BTW2: the herokuap version is also mine; it is a node unblocker developed by nathan (I just deployed it). Use the actual nova haven I developed - it has a load of more s***.
BTW3: y the hell are you people not sourcing me tho and getting cycles for it....
@PastaManno unfortunately... idk. I guess you could appeal to the admin or teachers to your school and make a good case that repl is for programming languages. Try this: look up how to find the task manager, kill go-guardian in the task manager, and access the site you want to go to. If it doesn't work, I'm afraid you're kinda out of luck.
@JordanDixon1 wait how did you find that link tho? NovaHaven embeds that particular link in an iframe that blocks popups, but I never publicly shared that link. Btw I can't take it down like I did with original nova haven cause heroku is now blocked on my chromebook. Also I said I was never sourced :(
@AdCharity I don't even remember to be honest. I think I saw the link in a repl.it talk post and clicked on it then I think I clicked on different links on that site and then I got to it and I tried using it on a dynamic website and it didn't work so I ditched it. I didn't even really think about it until this post was created lol.
New answer: if you have chrome extensions activated (you can install and get them), install ARC welder. Then find an apk for a search browser and run it with ARC welder = unparralled unblocking, pop-upblocking, security, and is not a website that can be blocked.
@PastaManno yep u are screwed :) 4 now, @PDanielY and I will refrain from sharing our methods for the safety of repl.it, but you will still be able to use my projects (Nova Haven deployed to heroku, DrivePortII - might be called drivegooogle, and my proxy). If you can't find these projects, I won't explicitly say where they are.
Is your inspect element blocked? If it isnt then there is a way.
1) go to chrome://inspect
2) click on extensions
3) click on background page for goguardian
4) click on console
5) type in window.close()
Hope this helps. :)
@PastaManno Is inspect element blocked? Can you right click and then click inspect element? If so then click three dots in the right hand corner. Click more tools and then click extensions. right click and inspect the page. do ctrl + f and find the word "hidden" and change it to "shown". Now click on background page for the extension and do what I said on the chrome://inspect
