Here is a couple of ideas for the Challenge tab repl.it team, you could do OS's, or maybe programming languages. You could also have connect4. I have seen a lot of these in the repl.it 'share' section so those could be a possibility for the next challenge.
A good challenge would be a custom import, such as
I'd be interested in programming languages, or OSs, but by OSs, I don't mean the fake things people make that are really simple command processors -- I mean actual operating systems.
@DrankArizonaIce @HarveyH I intend to do that at some point, although it's quite possible that it'll get endlessly procrastinated into the void. In case I don't ever do it and you don't entirely understand what I'm saying, I mean some software that could run directly on a CPU that creates a system with which a user could run other programs in a logical way, manipulating the computer using only the I/O. For the purposes of this challenge, they can run on a made-up CPU in a VM, they don't have to support GUI, and they wouldn't need to be multithreaded.
@HappyFakeboulde I get what you are saying, It's just that I don't intend on making a 'real' OS any time in the future, basically just one where you can run programs. Like a multiple in 1 sort of program. However, I would like to see you try. (And trust me, I've procrastinated on WAY too many projects than I should have by now.)
@HarveyH Actually, I realized while reading your reply that for one to make a true operating system on the repl.it containers, it would actually be required to use a VM. I might make one at some point, but if it doesn't happen by mid-january, it'll probably never happen.
Also, if you get what I'm saying, why don't you name your projects something more accurate, like "terminal application suite"?
EDIT: actually, that should be told to all the people on repl talk who are making and sharing fake OSs
