Is it worth it to learn system programming languages in 2019 and beyond?

System languages meaing: C++, C#, Python, Java, etc.

I started wondering this when reading a post discussing the best programming language in 2019. So basically: Besides for server related tasks, is there any point to learning these because it seems like most applications for the average person are beginning to be available on the browser and web. of course and then you have the whole Google ecosystem of office tools and things like that. It also seems like the average computer user is losing the knowledge and in some cases the ability, ie. chromebooks, to download system programs. Sorry for the ramble but should I just drop Python, (mid-high tier knowledge), and learn markup languages and more capable server languages like Node or is there still hope for these languages.
Note: I'm mostly talking about applications for the average internet user, not developers necessarily.

Thanks for the response! I completely forgot about these applications, good to know they are still a viable set of languages to learn! @malvoliothegood
