Is there any way to access the shell without using ctrl + shift + p (the shortcut)?

When searching for a way to add command line arguments (, I came across the shortcut "ctrl + shift + p", which allows you to open a shell (press ctrl + shift + p, then search for "open shell"). I found it strange that there wasn't any obvious way to access that other than the keyboard shortcut. In addition, for some reason, on one of my computers ctrl + shift + p doesn't work, so is there any way to open the shell from the graphical interface?

Also, is there any way to customize the action that the "run" button does?

It just seems strange that ctrl + shift + p then search is used to open the shell. I didn't even FIND documentation on ctrl + shift + p, or the shell on the official docs, until I came across that question. Also, as I said, ctrl + shift + p doesn't work on one of my computers...
