How would I go about bypassing webfilters to access Restricted educational sites?
PastaManno (1)

Despite my best efforts, my school system- GoGuardian- does not know how to tell educational sites from malicious and or fake game websites like coolmaths. In turn, this leads it to block almost every site I go to. I would like to bypass this restriction and/ or remove goguardian altogether via coding. But the problem is, I'm a less than novice coder that needs help every ten seconds. Which is why i'm asking here. Is there a way?

Is your inspect element blocked? If it isnt then there is a way.
1) go to chrome://inspect
2) click on extensions
3) click on background page for goguardian
4) click on console
5) type in window.close()
Hope this helps. :)

@JordanDixon1
chrome://inspect itself is blocked by goguardian :/

JordanDixon1 (310)

@PastaManno Is inspect element blocked? Can you right click and then click inspect element? If so then click three dots in the right hand corner. Click more tools and then click extensions. right click and inspect the page. do ctrl + f and find the word "hidden" and change it to "shown". Now click on background page for the extension and do what I said on the chrome://inspect

PastaManno (1)

@JordanDixon1 Inspect element using both methods does not seem to work. Extensions itself is blocked, but not necessarily by goguardian- rather showing a web restricted page from google.

PastaManno (1)

@JordanDixon1 on top of this- when I try to imput the urls in novahaven, it comes up with 'Initial Server Error'

JordanDixon1 (310)

@PastaManno do you know the extension's id? if so : chrome-extension://gndmhdcefbhlchkhipcnnbkcmicncehk/_generated_background_page.html replace the gnd... with the extension's id.

PastaManno (1)

@JordanDixon1
chrome-extension://chrome//extensions/?id=haldlgldplgnggkjaafhelgiaglafanhmhdcefbhlchkhipcnnbkcmicncehk/_generated_background_page.html

this is the url I put in. the response page says that chrome itself is blocked by an extension.

JordanDixon1 (310)

@PastaManno wow. Your school sucks. XD I don't know. I'll do some more research into it. I suggest going on google and look for unblockers. Keep clicking on websites until one works.

PastaManno (1)

@JordanDixon1 update: I imputed the wrong stuff but now im on a blank page with the extension url.
there is a screenshot of what is on my screen right now.

JordanDixon1 (310)

@PastaManno Oh heck yes! alright, right click and click on inspect element

JordanDixon1 (310)

@JordanDixon1 once you do this go to console. Then type in window.close() and press enter

PastaManno (1)

@JordanDixon1 i cannot inspect element. it is still blocked. even the shortcut doesn't pull it up

PastaManno (1)

@JordanDixon1 so both chrome://inspect and dev tools itself is completely blocked

PDanielY (983)

@PastaManno my school is like your school. I think I know to how to unblock website. Are you on a chromebook?

PDanielY (983)

@PastaManno Ok, does your chromebook have playstore?

PastaManno (1)

@PDanielY no. playstore itself is completely inaccessible

PDanielY (983)

@PastaManno oh, the hack will not work. I'm building something to unblock websites. It works but there are some glitches. You'll be the first person to know after I'm done 😁 and sorry for slow reply I am on a phone right now.

PastaManno (1)

@PDanielY its quite alright. thank you though!

JamesGordon1 (114)

@PDanielY the app, I have google play on my Chromebook and i have a web filter too

PDanielY (983)

@JamesGordon1 do you know the hack to login to another google account and install playstore apps

JordanDixon1 (310)

@PDanielY YAY! A bunch of replies spamming my notifications. lol XD

JordanDixon1 (310)

@PDanielY It's fine. Honestly. Although, I have been wanting an actual project to work on with someone that's in a language I know. You have any for me?

JordanDixon1 (310)

@PDanielY Not any backend and only a little bit. I mainly code in python, however there's a way to integrate the two by using flask.

PDanielY (983)

@JordanDixon1 how well do you know node?

JordanDixon1 (310)

@PDanielY I don't know any. but I'm a quick learner.
