Production Build for a React Repl

Hey everyone, I'm just wondering if it's possible to do a production build for a Repl that uses React directly on the Repl itself or if it's better to download my Repl, create the production build, then upload the folder back. I'm relatively new to React so I just want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing on that front!

I'm mainly asking this question due to this highlighted part below and to see if the performance issues for React Repls might be solved if this was the case:

On top of that, would it be preferred to have a production build, rather than a development build, as part of a portfolio? I am thinking of utilizing Repl and CodeSandBox into one.

Thank you so much @eankeen , I appreciate your response! And yes, it does help, I mean I don't necessarily know how to do all of that stuff yet but I suppose figuring it all out is part of the fun after all! But knowing that there won't be as many dependencies, while I don't think it'll load as fast as a PHP project, it's very good to know. But yes, a feature to circumvent all of that would be awesome!
