As some of you may know, Repl.it isn't the most mobile-friendly website. I'm considering making a mobile app for it, and I'm asking the community:
Would you be interested in this? Would you use it if it was good enough?
And does anyone here want to help contribute? I'm open to any suggestions about technologies to use and I'm up to learning something new.
Please upvote or comment if you'd use it and comment if you want to help. And if you aren't interested I'd love to hear why. Thanks!
Hmm! Good idea! I was thinking myself about making not an app, but a progressive web app which embeds repl.it and maybe makes some changes to the interface, but this is a good idea as well!
I think this would be a great idea. I don't know much about mobile app development, but could you override the default keyboard in place of a keyboard localized to the language you're programming in? Like if I was using HTML/CSS/JS, could I use a keyboard that has all the most common characters instead of the default? Thanks!
Mobile version Repl.it is really bad. I can’t copy paste, I can’t use apostrophes...
please please let us copy paste and use apostrophes...
i rarely use replit on anything except a desktop, but when i do, i literally cannot edit or run. i usually just chrome remote desktop to my home pc, but that's really slow. i bet there would be people who actually do use replit on mobile, so i think it's worth it
I think @HS was working on this (from discord), at least an android version. I forgot if he stopped.
Also, don't forget to post feedback to https://repl.it/feedback :p
But beyond that, I would really want a mobile app (ahem ahem take note repl)
