Hey y'all! This isn't really a tutorial so I understand if this gets taken down. I just wanted to thank all y'all who upvoted my Brute Force Password Cracker program after I released it three years ago to the point now where we are the first post on repl.it to receive over 1,000 upvotes!
It's been incredible how supportive the Repl.it community has been and I love seeing emails each week about someone commenting on my program where I could improve or how long it's taken to crack their password.
As one of the original Repl.it users, it's been amazing to see the full timeline of this amazing website and be a part of it. As for me, currently, I'm a junior in high school and freshman in college, so that's mostly why I'm inactive on the site. However, I use it once or twice a week for small classes or functions I need to test and I love the portability and ease that Repl.it has always provided!
As for the actual tutorial of getting a Repl.it post to 900 likes, I didn't even create a mindblowing piece of tech or some extraordinary bug-free code. It was all y'all being supportive and helping me out with the start of my coding career. Keep helping each other out and building this amazing community!
Also if you want to chat about programming or really anything, send me a text on insta! @its_actually_cam
Thanks so much everyone!

@Coder100 - No, I think cyan is a color, unless you're talking about Cyan, in which case he is a repl member(who apparently has some history with the repl big peeps, 'coz I'm seein' a lotta 'cyan is back?' messages here lol).
Oof this is the first "How to Get a Repl.It Post to 920 likes :P" tutorial that has only 22 likes 😆
Welcome to the Brute Force Password Cracker!
Attempting to crack password via CyanCoding's BFPC...
This could be a while. Feel free to leave this page open while you use the computer.
655 million passwords guessed so far...
CyanCoding's BFPC cracked the password hello in 656001330 tries and 1094 seconds!
That's approximately 600140 guessed passwords per second!
@DynamicSquid I'm a dual-enrolled student, which means I can take four college courses and four high school courses per semester. This way I can get my A.A. by the time I graduate high school! This is great because it allows me to get my double major in Business Administration and Management and Computer Engineering in just four years after high school!
Thanks Repl.it for helping me figure out what one of my majors is!
Please fix error, when it gets over 110 million try’s it does this error:
Traceback (most recent call last): File “main.py”, line 312, in <module> tries, timeAmount = tryPassword(password, stringType) TypeError: cannot unpack non-iterable NoneType object
@CyanCoding (sorry for the ping) - I am a new member(unlike the others that seem to be here), so I don't know anything 'bout you(other than the awesome password cracker) but I would like to, so, Hi, I am Percy Jackson :)
@maxyang - Sadly...though me and Jason aren't participating in your project. We are best friends, we don't compare against each other. I hope Riordan brings him back, or dear Uncle Rick will meet Jason in the Underworld very soon...
@maxyang - Pipes won't do it. She is too much in love with Jason to charmspeak him for silly reasons. You should just leave Greek affairs to us mortal.
PS - Neeks can't do that, or he'll have an angry Hades running behind him. You aren't allowed to bring back the dead. Neeks isn't even powerful enough. Only Death(Thanatos) and Hades can do it.
@maxyang - Nah, I haven't read the 3rd or 4th one properly because of...heartbreaking events...I might even stop reading them now...I will console myself with fanfiction where's he is alive...
@CyanCoding - Well, if you have read the Percy Jackson series and its sequel series Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan, you will understand. They are the two best series in the world for teens. I myself, am a character from it lol
