The chat doesn't work. I opened two windows and I didn't see the message in the other window.

@PDanielY like you!
and it doesn't work!

Impressive, hope to see it work. I think you forgot to add a server

Now, you just need to create a backend to allow this to work! Nice UI though! For the backend, if you are just beginning with Node.js, I'd recommend Express+Socket.io, but if you know more Node.js, I'd recommend just using the http module, qs module (as body parser), and Socket.io for your backend. You can also use something like SQLite or create your own encoded JSON database. Good luck!

@AmazingMech2418 Socket.io? How could you! Use direct WebSockets.

AmazingMech2418 (693)

@StudentFires I always use Socket.io. I don't know how to use direct WebSockets yet. I didn't even know you could really. I thought Socket.io was a unique websocket API.

xxpertHacker (341)

@AmazingMech2418 Na, that's the point. It's like what express is to http, it is a helper and wrapper, but it still depends upon the underlying source. I think I have a few old WebSocket servers, but I don't make servers too often.
