I was clickbaited into clicking on this post ngl

generationXcode (136)

@MrEconomical hehe me too. I checked the code.

JadenGarcia (37)

In your CSS, under#quiz, you wrote, margin-left: left, was that an accident?

Lizzie126 (30)

@Lizzie126 that's how i liked it set. to be at the side.

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 Not sure if margin-left can have a value of left, maybe 0?

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia it can, actually because, remember it's CSS it's a style. So, margin-left:left; talls the code to put the light blue box to the left of the screen.

JadenGarcia (37)

Only 5 right, didn't use capital T or tuna and F for fire.

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia ohh, ok. Well, I would still give you 7/7!😁
(JavaScript is case sensitive)

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 Maybe you should math using regular expressions using the case-insensitive flag. /tuna/i.exec("UserInputWithCapitalTuna!").

I was literally working on JavaScript when you replied too! https://repl.it/@JadenGarcia/Memoization

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia WOW!!!! that was alot of numbers. It made my head dizzy!😅

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia where do i put it though?

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia /tuna/i.exec("UserInputWithCapitalTuna!")

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 That was an example, /tuna/i.test(YourStringHere), I believe you'd put that in your if statement, instead of val===val

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia you won't belive it, but I just changed the Capital to lower, and it worked!
if (question4 == "Tuna")
if (question4 == "tuna")

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 Now it won't accept the answer is you try a capital though, maybe use if(question4 === "Tuna" || question4 === "tuna")

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia that did not work, either.

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia I tried it not too long ago, it marked it wrong.

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 I'll look at it and see how to make it work, I'll find a solution soon.

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 Found your problem: you used if(question4 === "Tuna"&&"tuna"), this evaluates the ===, so, if this is false, then the if statement evaluates to false, if it is true, then it looks at the logical "and," && and the if statement evaluates to "tuna", that is not what you want at all.
Use this:
if(question4 === "Tuna" && question4 === "tuna")
This compares the value of question4 against both, "Tuna," and "tuna."

Highwayman (1318)

This isn’t really related to your post, but I love your profile pic. XD

Lizzie126 (30)

@Highwayman thank you! I like yours too!

DynamicSquid (2260)

@Lizzie126 I like yours too! That made me laugh :)

DynamicSquid (2260)

@Lizzie126 I also completely bombed your test btw. 3/10 lol

DynamicSquid (2260)

@Lizzie126 When I checked your code, most of my answers were wrong because of errors in capitalization. Just a suggestion: maybe try to convert the user's input into lowercase?

Lizzie126 (30)

@DynamicSquid ok, i like that suggestion. will do!👍🏿

nN34398Ff (85)

You should tell the user what he/she got wrong

Lizzie126 (30)

@nN34398Ff That sounds like a great Idea.

PDanielY (969)

lol i looked at the code

JadenGarcia (37)

Finally finished, redesigned into xhtml. And, it allows all of the gifs! https://repl.it/@JadenGarcia/TheWorldsEasiestTest

Don't copy it though, it's extremely complex.

[deleted]

Dats not easy.

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 it really isn't. @JadenGarcia made this version, because my version needed help. Like a lot of help.

[deleted]

It is the world’s hardest test. @Lizzie126

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 lol. it is! instead of it being The World’s Easiest Test, The World’s Hardest Test.😁

[deleted]

Okay, I’ll leave this riddle for you to answer:
What is the answer to this question?
It is the word’s hardest question, and don’t look it up! @Lizzie126

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 All it needed was a capitalization check, you didn't need to copy my copy of your test.

I tend to fork other people's code and make it more complicated.

[deleted]

The riddle is:
What is the answer to this question?
Obviously. @Lizzie126

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 ooohhhhhhh,ummmm........................... let me think.............uhhhhhhhh, can I have a clue? plz>

[deleted]

Sorry I’m late(I had a zoom meeting), but the clue is:
Any question can be ? of this question. @Lizzie126

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 Now I remember, one of my classmates told me this and the answer was "in the riddle" (I think)

[deleted]

Ok, what is the answer? @Lizzie126

[deleted]

Nope! (There are actually many versions of this riddle) @Lizzie126

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 really? then what is the answer?

[deleted]

Hint:
The answer is what I just said earlier in this sentence. @Lizzie126

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 at first i was going to say "answer", but i was not sure.
Am I right?

[deleted]

Add the most common English word to the beginning, and it’s correct. @Lizzie126

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 The answer was acually "answer"???????????????

[deleted]

No. But the first two words of your <blank> [email protected]

[deleted]

You put that in the blank, yes. @Lizzie126

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 FINALLY! I was reaallllyy stumped on that one.
Also, I invited you to one of my projects.

[deleted]

The more there is, the less you see. What am I?

[deleted]

[deleted]

@Lizzie126
There are 5 houses in five different colors.
In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
These five owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar and keep a certain pet.
No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same beverage.
the Brit lives in the red house
the Swede keeps dogs as pets
the Dane drinks tea
the green house is on the left of the white house
the green house's owner drinks coffee
the person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds
the owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
the man living in the center house drinks milk
the Norwegian lives in the first house
the man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats
the man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill
the owner who smokes BlueMaster drinks beer
the German smokes Prince
the Norwegian lives next to the blue house
the man who smokes blend has a neighbor who drinks water
Who owns the fish?
Einstein wrote this riddle. He said that 98% of the world could not solve it.

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 What?! You are actually exepecting me to solve this riddle, when I barely solved the last one?!

[deleted]

Not really, no. I am expecting for good answers, though. @Lizzie126

[deleted]

Yes. That is actually the way the 2% of people solve it. @Lizzie126

Lizzie126 (30)

@Lizzie126 the german owns the fish

[deleted]

You are... CORRECT!!! @Lizzie126

[deleted]

I am 4 times as old as my son, and 20 years later, I will only be 2 times as old as my son. How old am I right now? @Lizzie126

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 10. easy. Math. My. Strongest. point.

[deleted]

10 is not divisible by four. @Lizzie126

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 sry, i put the wrong one.
4x + 20 = 2(x + 20)
Solving the equation for x, we have
4x + 20 = 2x + 40
2x = 20
x = 10
So the age of his son now is 10, and the age of the the father now is 40.

[deleted]

Correct. And by the way, Riddles.com has thousands of riddles, and you might like some. @Lizzie126

Lizzie126 (30)

@CodeABC123 thanks! 10 more riddles plz

[deleted]

Find them yourself. My computer is low on battery. @Lizzie126

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 So... I might have totally updated the code: https://repl.it/@JadenGarcia/The-Worlds-Easiest-Test.
You are using way too many ids though, you don't need to select everything with an id.

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia It works!!
You are a genius. Thank you!

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 Yw, it's a bit advanced though, if you're a beginner you might not understand all of it though.

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia yeah, I am a little bit new to Javascript in HTML.

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 While looking at the gifs you had I noticed both, "clap" and "fail" are unused, also the range should be able to be 1, allowing all images to be used. Right now 1 is skipped over entirely.

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia i notice that too. But I need all 5 of the gifs for them to work, even if some of them are skipped.

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 You have all 5, why can't you use them? I'm in the middle of redesigning the range system you built to show all gifs.

Lizzie126 (30)

@JadenGarcia That is my question, too. I am wondering why it can't use all 5. I don't know. It is very complicated.😫

JadenGarcia (37)

@Lizzie126 There are 5 images, [1 - 5]. Arrays start with an index of 0, so we would do [0-4], you already did this part. All we need is a way to access the contents of the image array, you already did that too, gif[range] range is being used as the index

So what do you need?

All we need is it to be possible for range to be any of the numbers 0-4, you almost have that, you just need an if statement that makes range = 1;, after you do that, it'll work.
