tl;dr: My first Repl project is a text-base simple RPG game. More will be added later so comeback every now and then :)
So I recently took a class in coding Python, but like my other classes I took I would make these one-off creative projects but I could never really "share" them because we installed our own IDEs. So after a bit of searching I found Repl and welp, now I'm here able to show anyone one of those projects :). I'm new, and probably could of made a "hello everybody post" beforehand but getting this project up to even just a sandbox prototype I wanted to share it.
Battle Pets is a text-based classical RPG styled fighting game. Create a pet, battle weird enemies from different towns, level up and learn new skills. There's maybe not too much to it yet, many things don't have much differences (wave/flame or other moves not having resistances yet), but hopefully if I keep working on it, soon enough it will become a game for great fun. I've made a semi-decent save code function, so even if you want to return you don't necessarily have to start over.
I'm ALL OPEN to any suggestions, criticism, ideas, improvements, or offered help. I'm new and wish for any community involvement I can get.
- Added Party Switching! You can now get up to 3 different pets to train throughout the game!.
- Are Bosses! You will need to defeat them in order to pass to the next area. Old saves will still need to beat the bosses to move on.
