FILE MANAGER

Hello everyone! As you may know, the current languages I know how to code in are

  • Node.js
  • HTML
  • Python
  • Bash
    But not anymore!
    Now I also know C# :)

About

You can't learn a .NET language without making something that can edit files!
That's why I made a file manager! I use it in 0 of my current desktop projects.
It demonstrates input/output and file creation and editing
Deleting files? Nope sorry :p

How to use

Install the .exe and ignore the warnings. It's just your antivirus being a little overzealous :)
Then, click on the file after clicking on dismiss.
It will have a confirmation button that you want to run it. Run it already! After that, choose your options and manage your files away!

Next up

@liamdonohue How do I make it show publisher details?
Code: https://repl.it/@Coder100/cs-file-manager-v1

PLEASE VOTE THIS POST UP!

It is my first applied C# program! (as opposed to pure)

using System
class MainClass {
  public static void Main (string[] args) {
    Console.WriteLine("C# is better than Java!");
  }
}

Wow... making c# programs certainly makes you put semicolons after each javascript statement

LiamDonohue (207)

could you possible help intergrate this into one of my projects?

LiamDonohue (207)

hmmm not sure maybe ask @sixbeeps

Coder100 (1293)

If you run it, you see
unknown publisher are you sure you want to run it? and I would like to configure that so it says coder100 @LiamDonohue

LiamDonohue (207)

ahh ok so you can't do that with repl, buut you can download Visual Studio Community (it's free) and then do the following:
Left click the file (or press "build" then click "Publish"), then follow the instructions in the publish wizard. if i remember correctly, you can name the publisher @Coder100

LiamDonohue (207)

if not, you would have to register it with microsoft @Coder100

Coder100 (1293)

ooooh thanks!
hopefully, that can surpass the overzealous antiviruses :) @LiamDonohue

LiamDonohue (207)

lol.

btw afterwards you can just upload the exe file to repl as like secure.exe or something to make it easy lol
