Really nice game, I loved the map system! One problem I see with the game is the lack of a 'very easy' mode. I'm an ... average typist, and I was struggling on easy. One thing I would recommend would be to add an expert difficulty, and shift each difficulty down one, i.e. hard is now expert, medium is now hard, and easy is now medium. Then you could add an easy mode, to create 4 difficulties. Easy afterwards would be more forgiving than easy right now.

please add a very easy mode because i am a below average typer and can't make it past the tutorial fight because i take too long. Other than that, the concept is great and i love the design.

How did you do the map? I really want to do something like that but I can't figure it out.

Peanut123 (37)

@AlexanderTarn we created our mapping by creating a Floor class which was a list of lists that contained multiple instances of our Room class. The Room class of abstract which allowed us to have multiple different types of rooms such as enemy room and boss room. Each room had a character associated with it that was called whenever that room was being printing. (Ex. Boss room return "B") which was printed. Each room also had a boolean value that told use weather the room had been explored by the user or not allowing us to show only what the explored rooms had. If you open the "game-classes" folder above and open "rooms" you can see all of our different Map classes.

I really like this game because it is in Java. I want to properly improve my Java skill. Do you have any tips??

@btecht , the best thing that I found is to just play around! I find an idea and try to make it, no matter how hard it seems. When you get to something new, that means you are on the right track!

I like this game. Playing quite comfortably at around 70 words per minute

Really fun game. I personally could use a bit longer to type, but it is really fun.
