Pacman
argthe1st (83)

So the game is pretty self-explanatory. I made this game when I was in middle school and I haven't edited it since (which is why it's so bad in some places). With the addition of Pygame, people can now play my game online, which is really cool! Hope you guys like it!

Edit: I suggest resizing the screen down below as it can get hard to see some of the text

Pretty cool! I love pacman! I got a new Highscore, I didn't know you couldn't eat the ghosts.

argthe1st (83)

@PYer Yeah, I was going to add additional functionality such as the power pellet and score multipliers, cherries, etc. but Pygame is pretty outdated so I stopped working on this project

coderash (67)

@PYer I have the new high score!!!😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏

mkhoi (203)

@coderash I have a new highscore too

hayaodeh (171)

OMG so cool! <3 it couple of thing.
I would love to have a leaderboard to compete with others.

Jake_HillmannHi (1)

this is pretty nice, I just started coding this year and Im trying to learn this stuff

argthe1st (83)

@Jake_HillmannHi Honestly, if you want to get into game dev, you should lear
n how to use Unity or Unreal Engine, but learning the basics with Python is still a good start!

ZedMainInsane (1)

This is actually insane!

When you die you need to add a return button and when you win something to happen

argthe1st (83)

@AntonThePrince Good suggestion, but I am not working on this game anymore as Pygame is not very good for game development (and is very laggy on repl.it)

JacobKerstetter (0)

the pacman character is a bit laggy

argthe1st (83)

@JacobKerstetter Yeah Pygame can be a bit slow if you have too much stuff going on

MichaelNess (0)

This is a really good way of re-making Pac-Man in Python! The movement and responses do lag when collecting a lot though.

argthe1st (83)

@MichaelNess Yeah, Pygame isn't the best for game development

LucasPetrones (0)

is well made and fun and works fine

coderash (67)

I love it, how do the high scores work though?

argthe1st (83)

@coderash uh ... its pretty simple, they don't
