Password Vault! #WEEKLY
A password vault! Get it here
You can log in with Repl.it, nice and secure, then store as many passwords as you like, and you can store a website name with a password as well.
Passwords are hidden by default, but each one has a button to show it and to copy it to clipboard.
You can also edit and delete passwords, as well as get a mnemonic that'll help you remember each password.
There's even a random password generator with several options!
Also, I finally wrote some new CSS, instead of using my website's site-wide stylesheets, so @CodingCactus would shut up :)
And if anyone knows how the heck to log out from Repl Auth, pls lmk
Please ignore the repl I have attached to this post as it is the entire repl for my personal website, which I have already shared in a different post. The links to the source code for the password vault are specific files in that repl.
SCORED.
Should've stuck with the old CSS.
Yup, I 100% NOT going to put my passwords here. To help you feel better I don't even share my passwords with my parents. Rarely I do but mostly no.NO = 99% YES = 1%
@clawstrike lol, really don't put your passwords here. It is not safe at all. It's just for weekly challenges and it satisfies the requirements.
know that @minx28
www.youtube.com refused to connect why?
@beginner10coder you clicked the link for my YouTube channel, correct? What other site would you expect it to go to?
YouTube, but it didn’t go to YouTube @minx28
@beginner10coder oh, right. No idea, sorry
BRUH the passwords here arent encrypted. When my passwords werent encrypted some cracker came and leaked them all. Why does it only happen to me. I had to encrypt it with AES 128 to stop it all
@generationXcode there's no point in me encrypting them - if someone gets access to my .env
file, they'll have access to any encryption keys also. Additionally, using Repl Auth means I don't have to worry about my login system being secure
THIS IS MY REPL.IT PASSWORD:
CTRL
+W
There y'all go.
@JosephSanthosh you really think nobody knows what that does?
Yea! Cause i’m on an iPad. Haha! Just kidding. @minx28
@firefish mmmmmm yes thx for password leaks
@firefish also you now shouldn't get word wrapping :)
@JosephSanthosh the real question is why does good-riddance-passwords.co.uk
require a password
Love the design!
@MarcusWeinberger thanks! I don't often write new CSS
@minx28 Clever trick, just re-use the same piece of CSS everywhere. I doo it too. Except I modify the CSS a tad, just to suit the website's needs. Like cookiegriller.firefish.repl.co and firefish.repl.co
@firefish well all my weekly challenges are pages on my website, https://minx.codes . This makes it especially easy just to reapply the same stylesheet.
what is discord?
@python88 https://discord.com
Join the Repl.it Discord server at https://repl.it/discord
@python88 Discord is for 13+ year olds, if you are under 13 and found on discord, you can get banned from the website.
And you really wouldn't want to get banned from discord, because when you do become 13, it's really fun and lots of places use it.
@JackLesher i am only 10. :(
@JackLesher alot of people fake their age. :(
Welp, you'll have to wait for 3 more years before you can use Discord. It's a bit unpredictable depending on servers.
@python88 @JackLesher if you do not mention or discuss your age on Discord you'll be fine. But now you've commented about it here, if you were to join the Repl.it Discord, any staff member who saw the comment would have to ban you otherwise they would be breaching Discord's ToS themselves :/
I'm 13... I'm not breaking the ToS
@python88, you do realize u have to be 13 to use repl..
@AbhayBhat no i dont
@AbhayBhat coding is free
@python88, i mean, idrc but https://repl.it/site/terms, ctrl-f "13" and u will see.
@AbhayBhat well i like to code
@python88, you really should not be revealing ur age on the internet.
@python88 Unfortunately, repl.it may have to terminate your account due to your being under thirteen. In the U.S. (where repl.it is based) they have COPPA, the Children's Online Protection and Privacy Act, saying that you cannot collect certain information from children under 13. Replit has to collect said information, and so people under 13 may not use Repl.it. This is not a silly rule, it is actually illegal for Repl.it to be collecting your information.
amazin
@ZDev1 thanks
Whoa whoa whoa whoa. I only complained twice
@CodingCactus that's two times too many smh
haha lol @minx28
now this is cactus-beef. @minx28
should i really put my passwords here...?

eh, nvm, seems about fine xDD
@Bookie0 hehehehehehe yes you should certainly put your passwords here absolutely 100%
ok great, why need lastpass when I have this :))) [email protected]
@minx28 what type of encryption do you have on the passwords?
@CodingCactus Base64 ofc
@CodingCactus am not encrypting them.
1) it's just a weekly challenge, and it satisfies the requirement that you can't see other people's passwords.
2) If someone did get access to the database through
.env
, they'd also have access to any encryption keys I used@minx28 no. certainly not. Look in mine. there are not 1‰ real.
ouch the per-mille looks awfulCan you see our passwords? @minx28
@JosephSanthosh if I wanted to, yes. But tbh I'm not sure how I would make it so I couldn't. And anyway, you really shouldn't be storing passwords here at all. It is just a submission for the weekly challenges, and it is probably not at all secure.
uh oh... @minx28
@Bookie0 lol
@minx28
xor em with the auth tokens
