Here is my submission!
This takes a url to an image, and makes the turtle draw it! To use it, use this program. Copy the matrix made in
NewImList, and paste it as what
picture equals in the
The supplied test url was what we used when testing the program, and is of the main characters of "学校ぐらし!" ^ ^*
Oh, well, they are both related to my pokemon game, one is "kakukaku shikajika," which is kind of like saying "whatever, and-so-on, blah blah." The other one is "Poketto Monsuta ~ Murasaki" is basically "Pokemon Purple." I called it that because it's Pokemon red and blue, combined!
@LizFoster Well I remember long ago when I was on scratch I made this sick program which was proper 3d, it was made using pen (turtle) and had depth and everything I am pretty sure you could do the same thing.it was made by calculating person distance from walls and then from there shading.
I am making a undertake style rpg so maybe you could join that I dunno
for templates, I have no idea all the good ones in my head have already been made
@LizFoster I just posted the Ultimate Web Template @xolyon You can see it if you want to. https://repl.it/talk/templates/Ultimate-Web-Template/33819 Also, the issue with a multiplayer repl is that it only works while both people are online at the same time and with the chat tool thing, I'm already working on creating two of them, but it is more difficult than you are making it seem. I'm sorry if the notifications are annoying you, but there's not really much I can do...
The linked program does not seem to work. It keeps returning:
(253, 253, 253) Traceback (most recent call last): File "main.py", line 28, in <module> newIm[r].append(rgbToHex(rgb)) # change to rgb if you want to use RGB color File "main.py", line 21, in rgbToHex return "#"+decToHex(rgb)+decToHex(rgb)+decToHex(rgb) File "main.py", line 18, in decToHex return hexvals[floor(dec/16)]+hexvals[dec%16] TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for /: 'tuple' and 'int'
@LizFoster By the way, did you see my programming language template? Also, for THAIL, Liam said that we were going to use Adapt to develop THAIL which has the documentation in the post, and it has a Python-like syntax, so if you want to do anything in addition to helping with the math, it might be good to read that post to get an idea on what Adapt is and how it works.
@LizFoster Well, what file type are the images? It should work for jpg pretty well. However, you'd have to update your main repl to match with the template since the template uses hexadecimal. Also, it takes some skill to do those by hand. I have no idea how you do it! That's why I originally suggested the tool to generate the matrix. LOL!
